Morrow’s Freightlines vehicles are fitted with a SmartPhone coupled with purpose built software providing drivers with voice and data communication and navigation maps with voice direction as well as office staff being provided with global positioning data and maps pinpointing the vehicle locations. All this information is communicated via the mobile telephony network. The system allows for full visibility of goods from dispatch to delivery. In the event of an emergency the exact location of a vehicle can be relayed to the appropriate authorities. The purpose built software on the SmartPhone’s fitted in the Morrow’s Freightlines vehicles allows the capability to provide real time POD’s. When querying a delivery our office staff can provide you with a map of the delivery location, time at location, delivery details and the signature of the receiver. This information can be faxed, or a web address of the proof of delivery information can be emailed through to your preferred address. |
Morrow’s Freightlines run software called Transport Suite 2000 which incorporates both a transport and a warehousing module. It was developed by Icon Global, a customer focused software solutions provider. Icon Global, a Geelong based company commenced operations in 1995. Their products are presently distributed within Australia and New Zealand and cover the industries of Transport & Logistics, Health, Food Supply Chain and Local Government.
A major advantage of this particular software is the ability to deal directly with it’s developers on an ongoing basis. Any customer driven requirements or changes to the software’s capabilities can be accommodated with relative ease.
Transport Suite 2000 includes consignment note entry that is fully integrated with manifest production.
The warehousing module has the ability to produce a pick list and delivery labels for each consignment as well as the capability of monitoring and alerting the operator to back orders requiring fulfillment.
Flexible automated pricing and automated invoice generation provides professional tax invoices and statements that can be sent electronically to customers.
A powerful reporting engine enables the production of critical information including KPI reporting, stocktaking, stock movements, and activity reports.
